Calendula officinalis (Marigold) is well known for its antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, coating, astringent and healing activity. lts main constituents are: triterpene saponins, triterpene alcohols, carotenoids, flavonoids, coumarins, polyacetylenes, phytosterols, volatile oil and polysaccharides.
